Composer

For a starting point to the compositions of Jinwook Jung, he often looks to works or ideas from other fields of art. From his environment, in terms of both the traditional and the present, he is never content to merely "translate" idioms. Rather he ardently seeks ways to reflect on these issues as a means to bring an inspiring vitality to his own ideas in these works. With his music, he constantly tries to thematise post- and neocolonial issues which is related to cultural studies of the present generation. Furthermore, one of his main projects is reflected by the social analysis of different aesthetics and eras, especially between French baroque and modern Korean K-pop waves, to evoke messages about current tendencies of gender bias and social media.
